| (in English) | The 7th Asia-Pacific Optical Sensors Conference (APOS2018) was held from May 28 to 31, 2018, in Matsue, Shimane, Japan. This conference has been held every 18 months tracing back to 2008, and continues a series of conferences that are intended to provide a central forum for an update and review of technical information covering a wide range of optical sensing fields from fundamental researches to systems and applications. The conference is open to researchers and professionals from not only Asia-Pacific Rim area but also all regions of the world. One of the most unique features of this conference is that all the oral sessions are organized in a single-session format. There were nearly 200 participants from over 10 nations. The total number of papers presented at the conference was 147, of which 56 papers were presented in oral sessions, and the other papers were presented in 3 poster sessions. An exhibition with 10 domestic and overseas companies was also held during the conference. | |
