GNSS which is used for aircraft navigation is vulnerable because GNSS signals from the satellite are weak. Construction and implementation of the alternative positioning method, which is called APNT (Alternate Position Navigation and Timing), is one of the issues at ICAO to maintain safety and efficiency of aircraft control in case of GNSS signal loss. Standardization of Near-term APNT utilizing DME (Distance Measuring Equipment) has started in Europe (EUROCAE WG-107). Integrity assurance of the DME ground station is required to apply DME to Near-term APNT. In this paper, the authors focused on a multipath threat which is significant issue especially in mountainous areas of Japan. This paper suggests the comprehensive method which identifies DME error in flight inspection data and clarifies the impact of the multipath on the integrity. |
