ADS-B(Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) system is a new surveillance system for aircrafts.
This system is a system in which aircrafts theirself transmit surveillance information (location information by lati-
tude and longitude, altitude, speed, etc.) at random to an unspecified number of surveillants (receiving sides). It is
useful in terms of improving radio wave utilization efficiency compared with the conventional method and in that it
can be constructed in various places if we prepare receivers and antennas. There are advantages from the viewpoint
of broadcasting surveillance information, but there are disadvantages as well. As a solution to these disadvantages,
we propose DOA(Directio of Arrival) Estimation of ADS-B signals using array antennas. In this report, we experi-
ment to receive ADS-B signal by using SDR (Software Defined Radio) in outdoor environment and report the DOA
estimation result. |
