Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In order to achieve a near-metal-insensitive antenna for closed-space wireless communications, the impedance characteristics of a folded monopole antenna (FMA) have been investigated in detail. The near-metal-insensitive means antenna VSWRs are strongly influenced by a proximity object, especially metal. In this paper, the impedance characteristics are investigated when the metal plate approaches from multiple directions for assuming the actual use environment. The simulated results show that the proposed higher impedance model has stronger near-metal-insensitiveness than the conventional middle impedance model.
