Positional relationship between homoclinic points and unstable periodic points of the horseshoe map in Henon map

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A researcher had suggested the method to obtain the unstable periodic point (UPP) embedded in the horseshoe map by using the coordinate of a homoclinic point. However, there are no results that showing the positional relationship between the UPP and the homoclinic point. In this study, we investigate this positional relationship of the Henon map by using numerical method. We obtain the UPP and the homoclinic point by Newton’s method and evaluate their positional relationship by using polar coordinate.
