National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) developed a mobile earth station for Ka-band, that can communicate while in moving. In the urban area, however, the mobile earth station cannot be communicated with satellite due to buildings, etc. If possible, pre-shadowing area previously calculated, it is desirable to reflect the results when the earth station operation. Therefore, we estimated the shadowing ratio of Ka band in 8 major cities using GIS based on Sendai analysis result. In this paper, we report the provisional results. |
