Proposal of Design Method Based on Power Factor Compensation for SS and SP Topology of Capacitive Power Transfer with Resonance Coupling

(in English) Capacitive power transfer has advantages such as lower cost and lighter weight for the equipment materials than IPT. However, it is difficult to design the circuit parameters because the resonant topologies are not strictly analyzed in CPT. Therefore, this paper analyzes the circuit based on power factor compensation of SS and SP tolpologies of CPT with resonance coupling and presents the design method such as the resonant frequency and the optimal load. Based on this design method, characteristics of SS and SP topologies by calculation and experiment are presented and compared.
