Image Demosaicking via Chrominance Images with Convolutional Neural Networks

(in English) Demosaicking is play a vital role in image processing. Many conventional demosaicking methods are based on hand-crafted filters. However, the filters yield some errors in edge regions or texture regions. In this paper, we propose a CNN-based demosaicking method. CNN leads to high accuracy in many field, however, there are few methods in demosaicking field. We use the Bayer image without any interpolation as input and chrominance images as output. Besides, we prepare four networks classified the centered pixel of a local region in Bayer images. Experimental results show our CNN-based approach produces high quality restored image.
