Auto Matching Circuit for Wireless Power Transfer System

(in English) In the 6.78MHz wireless power transfer system using magnetic resonance, we propose an auto matching circuit by using voltage controlled tunable device(VCTD). VCTD is comprised of the dielectric thin film materials of the high dielectric constant and has a characteristic to hold out to the high voltage in small size. The modules composed of serial and parallel connection of VCTDs have been installed in the L type matching circuit. Efficiency was 62.3% at 5 W power reception with distance between antennas 30 mm. Good agreement with simulation results by Spice and the estimated loss of the L type matching circuit was 8%. By setting the impedance to be constant, it was possible to enlarge the reception area more than twice as φ50mm.
