Superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SSPD) imaging array is attracting attention as a single photon camera with high detection timing resolution. The SSPD imaging array can be applied to coincidence detection of photons in a two-dimensional plane and spectroscopic detection of photons. Therefore, it is expected to be a useful tool in the study of optical quantum information science. Development of readout multiplexing technology is an important subject to realize the large-scale SSPD imaging array. We are developing a large-scale SSPD imaging array with two multiplexing technologies: row-column readout type SSPD array and signal processing by using single flux quantum (SFQ) superconducting digital circuit. In this article, we report the fabrication and operation demonstration of the row-column readout type 16 pixel SSPD array and results of signal readout experiments using the SFQ circuit.
