Hyperthermia is a cancer treatment that warms only cancer cells to 42.5℃ or higher and kills them. The purpose of this study is the discussion of the radio wave absorption that is selectively warming and least disruptive to human body. In this paper, the condition of the birdcage coil used to radiate the RF wave and amount of rise in temperature of the internal biological phantom radiated the RF wave are discussed and measured. Using the third resonance frequency of the birdcage coil, the high efficiency RF wave radiation can be possible. The temperature rises by adding sodium chloride and/or the sodium acetate trihydrate to the biological phantom are measured. A biological phantom to which sodium chloride or sodium acetate trihydrate is added can obtain a high temperature rise amount than that of a biological phantom only. |
