Accuracy of sleep arousal response detection with pulse rate variation

(in English) Recently, a lot of reports published the methodologies to estimate arousal response of during sleep with pulse rate, heart rate variability and boy movement during sleep. This purpose of this study is to discuss a method for arousal response identification of during sleep by means of the pulse rate variation (PRV) in twenty young male subjects. Polysomnography (PSG) was monitored biological during sleep that were recorded with a PSG system. As a result, arousal response during sleep with our technique are estimated whether or not PRV defined as deviation of pulse rate in epochs are over the threshold 2.33 (PRV-2.33). In comparison with the sensitivity of PRV-2.33 indicates sensitivity 0.80, the specificity does 0.80 and AUC dose also 0.86 (95%CI,0.85-0.87). Our results show that the PRV-based arousal estimation has the ability to detect arousal response briefly.
