Classification method comparison of world languages by word pronunciation-based description and basic vocabulary

(in English) There are two models of language evolution, the tree model and the wave model, the former model does not assume interaction between languages,while the latter model does.In the tree model, basic vocabulary has been frequently used for language classification, because basic vocabulary is hard to be influenced by time as well as by social trend.However,in fact, language interactions exist between adjacent areas. Hence we tried to do employ the wave mode for more precise language classification.Since there was no suitable data available for this purpose, we created data by describing the pronunciation of the target language in Roman characters.We investigated the performance of classification by the combination of these two models.
