Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In motion control, humans correct their motions by sensory feedback. A large delay is included in human sensory feedback delay. The information obtained from the vision is said to be delayed by 100 to 200 [ms]. It is thought that the controllability is greatly affected when such a large feedback delay occurs in the control system. However human beings can control their body despite the delay.
In this research, we observed human balance motion in an environment in which the visual feedback delay was reduced predicting the future behavior of the inverted pendulum. Experimental results suggest that the reduction of feedback delay improves controllability.
In addition, as one of models considered as a model of human body control method, An intermittent control model has been proposed. This is a model in which the motion planning is not sequential, but a piecewise motion plan is performed. It was suggested in the previous research that the model could explain human trajectory tracking control. In this research, we applied the model to the inverted pendulum control.
