Time-Space Jointly Path-Matched MC-CDM Wide Band Radio Modulation with TX and RX Array Antennas -- for High Performance Error-Control Coding --

(in English) Abstract The paper investigated the following 3 MIMO-OFDM systems adapted to the multi-path propagation model including far-field characteristics of TX and RX array antennas: (i) Straight OFDM (S-OFDM)) directly modulating the subcarriers by information symbols; (ii) MC-CDM (Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiplexing) modulating the subcarriers by the symbols transformed from the information symbols by an orthogonal multiplexing code derived from an M-sequence; (iii) MC-CDM employing as multiplexing code a combination of DFT and the semi-orthogonal code derived from an M-sequence. Assuming CSI (Channel State Information) is correctly known, we obtained the optimum demodulation scheme jointly adapted to the time and space characteristics of the multi-paths and compared the variance and covariance characteristics of the demodulated symbol noise, QPSK BERs, PAPR, and ease of designing error-control coded demodulation.
