| (in English) | Audio description in which a narrator explains the actions of the characters and situations of a scene is used to support visually impaired people when they watch movies. However, the utilization rate of audio description is currently low due to the amount of time and cost in producing it. By using speech synthesis instead of narrator, we believe that the cost and time can be reduced, thereby increasing the utilization rate of audio description. In this study, we evaluate the relationship between the presentation timing of audio description using speech synthesis and its psychological effects on the sighted people in order to develop a supporting technology for audio description producers.
