[Poster Presentation] Improvement of Emergency Broadcasting System Based on Audio Data Hiding

(in English) The authors have proposed a disaster prevention broadcasting system based on audio data hiding scheme. In this system, messages regarding disasters and evacuations are embedded into siren sounds by using direct spread spectrum modulation, and transmitted without any Internet connections. In the previous studies, the communication distance without any errors is limited to one or two meters since the received signal is quite distorted not only by original siren signal but with the analog transmission. In this study, we propose a scheme that enables us to transmit the signal for over ten meters without any bit errors, at an even faster data rate than before. In this scheme, the message is spread for a wider band than in the previous one, and it renders the proposed scheme quite robust for the distortion. In this paper, the performance of the proposed scheme is assessed in terms of the communication distance, bit error rate and data rate.
