Evaluation of Loss in Microwave Power Transfer between Array Antennas in Fresnel Region

(in English) This paper describes the investigation on the effect of the loss factors when the array antennas are used as the transmitting and receiving antennas for microwave power transfer in Fresnel region. Using HFSS, we calculated the antenna loss, the reflection loss, the distribution deviation loss, above all, the synthesis loss caused by the amplitude and phase differences among the elements' received signals. The estimated efficiency, which is
calculated based on the results of loss factors, agreed the measured efficiency in the range where the effect of multiple reflection is small.
