In-Network Caching Method Considering Content Popularity and Playback Sequence for VoD Services over CCN

(in English) In recent years,Content-Centric Networking (CCN) has been emerged as a new networking paradigm for efficient content delivery.One of the main features in CCN architecture are in-network caching, content routers can store contents.In terms of cache decision policies, LCE (Leave Copy Everywhere), LCD (Leave Copy Down) and Prob-Cache(Probabilistic Cache) have been proposed in CCN.Additionally, in terms of cache replacement policies, LRU (Least Recently Used), LFU (Least Frequently Used) and FIFO (First In First Out) have been proposed in CCN.However, these policies cannot efficiently support streaming because they do not consider playback sequences of content chunks.In this paper, we propose an in-network caching method considering recency and frequency of content chunks access and playback sequence of content chunks for reducing playback interruption time of the video streaming over CCN.Experimental evaluations show that the proposed in-network caching method outperforms the traditional in-network caching methods in terms on playback interruption time.
