The Co-occurrence Link Concept-Base Construction Method using Wikipedia

(in English) In order to make common sense judgment, it is necessary for a computer to be able to judge the relationship between a word and a word as human beings do. As a technique for that, We have been building and refining knowledge bases called “Concept Base”. The Concept Base covers the basic words that humans use everyday, while lacking new words and technical terms. In this research, we try to construct a concept base by adding Wikipedia which is excellent in immediacy and comprehensiveness to a new knowledge source. In the experiment, we could improve the comprehensiveness without lowering the accuracy of the Concept-Base by using co-occurrence information of links between articles in Wikipedia.
