The extension of healthy life expectancy in an aging society is an important theme. Mountaineering is powerful way of promoting health, and many middle-aged and elderly people climb mountains continuously. However, it is a problem that many elderly accidents occurred in mountaineering.
In this research, we consider safety support of climbing activity using wearable sensor.We measure heart electric potential and acceleration data with a wear-type biometric sensor in which electrodes of sensors are stitched so that monitoring can be carried out at all times without affecting climbing activity. Furthermore, we measure the movement path with the GPS function of the smartphone and the scene in the field with the wearable camera. Field experimental results measured for four mountaineering activities are shown. |
