Realization of Elliptic Function Low-Pass Filter with High Attenuation

The Low-pass Filter(LPF) characteristics having low insersion loss in the passband and high attenuation in the stopband are quite indispensable for achieving high score and for satisfying the specification of the LPF department at Microwave Circuit Design Universiade 2017.
In this case, the LPF with elliptic function characteristics is selected and designed for realizing high attenuation quantity in the stopband.
The proposed LPF is realized using patterned elements.
The reflection and transmission characteristics of circuit structure including the shielded enclosure and the SMA connectors were calculated using an electromagnetic simulator.
Furthermore, frequency characteristics were confirmed at the calculation of the circuit structure adding some shielding walls.
Finally,the LPF is realized by a printed circuit board milling machine.
The experimental result shows high attenuation characteristic and is satisfied with specification for Microwave Circuit Design Universiade 2017. |
