Light-Weight Mechanism for Authorized Pseudonym/Key Allocation

(in English) Authorized pseudonym-based communication helps to mitigate tracking risks of message sender and receiver as well as providing a non-repudiation property for each message publisher. Challenging task on this is how to support dynamic and frequent pseudonym/key updates for many of mobile smart objects since a short-time key invalidation is necessary for time-critical applications. In this report, we study light-weight mechanisms for authorized pseudonym/key allocation that enable dynamic pseudonym-key recoupling as well as downsize allocation data size. Our evaluation results show that the proposed approaches admit dynamic recoupling and achieve over 90% message size reduction.
