Magneto-optic response of a bilayered zinc oxcide and magnetic garnet by Sputtering Method.

(in English) Zinc oxide (ZnO) was deposited on bismuth substituted iron garnet (Bi:YIG) film by RF magnetron sputtering method. ZnO/YIG bilayers were investigated on magneto-optic (MO) responses for various annealing temperature and magnetization characteristic. The ZnO single film was crystallized before annealing. Furthermore, optical absorbance of ZnO isn’t shifted by annealing temperature. MO responses of the ZnO/Bi:YIG bilayer was improved at the bandedge of the ZnO. However, magnetization characteristics of the Bi:YIG was not changed after the deposition of ZnO . Therefore, the change of the MO responses were because of the interaction between the ZnO and the Bi:YIG.
