Recently, the development of the technology for ocean resource exploration is advanced, and the satellite communication link of Mbps class is required for research operation on the ocean. National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) developed satellite communication equipment for research vessel, and is conducting experiment of satellite communication between a ship and a land station. We report the condition and the several usages of the satellite communication link on the ship. |
