We propose a simple method to analyze radar cross section of a large scale periodic structure composed of finite number of elements such as array antennas and frequency selective surfaces. In this method, the method, which is used for the radiation analysis of the array antenna, is applied. We calculate the convergent scattering field from the partial model consisting of a part of the cycle of the large scale periodic structure, and convolve the array factor to calculate the RCS. By analyzing the RCS of the FSS and the array antenna using the proposed method, we confirmed that we can obtain results that correspond well with highly accurate analysis results obtained by numerical analysis. |
