Active phased array antenna (APAA) can control its beam scan angle electronically. However, it is more expensive than a mechanical beam scanning antenna since its RF module is high price. In this paper we proposed a sparse phased array antenna with two-dimensional radiation pattern reconfigurable elements. A sparse arrangement decrease the number of RF module and a changing element pattern suppress its grating robes. It is shown the antenna suppress the grating robes through experiment. |
