Development of Input System Controlled by Vision Movement Using EOG and Study on Improving Method of Eye Movements Detection

(in English) In this work, we expended conventional vision input to 6$times$3 patterns by increasing the horizontal vision input to 6 patterns, by use of the correlation between the peak value of horizontal EOG signal and the offset angle of saccade. A novel EOG kana input system is developed and experimental evaluation is conducted. The vision input system is considered to be a helpful communication tool for patients who lost their physical ability. In addition, two improving methods of the eye movement detection are introduced: one is an EOG signal processing algorithm with consideration of the EOG signal's features to prevent errors caused by common artefacts, the other is derived from the Posner cueing effect which is showed to be capable of suppressing the variation in the onset peak values of EOG signal.
