| (in English) | In this report, the relation between the sound field and sound localization of parametric and dynamic loudspeakers are compared. First, the interaural level difference (ILD) and interaural time difference (ITD) of sounds at 1kHz, 2kHz, and 4kHz scattered by a spherical scatter as a first approximation model of a head were measured. The results indicated that ITD by both loudspeakers at every frequency agreed, although the ITD of parametric sound at 1kHz was larger than that of the dynamic one. Next, Directional sound localizations of both loudspeakers were evaluated for three subjects. The results showed that the sound image of the parametric loudspeaker at low frequency tends to be localized outside that of the dynamic one. This sound localization agrees qualitatively with the measured-scattered field and suggests that it is important to appropriate sound field analysis for the practical sound field of parametric loudspeaker. | |
