Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper investigates cooperative relay transmission with multiple relay nodes by using quantize-and-forward (QF) which directly maps received symbols to an integer grid on the complex plane and conduct quantization based on Lattice theory. In this system, quantization bits corresponding to the cell of the grid that includes the received symbol are transferred. The shape of the grid differs depending on the SNR and modulation type, so we propose adaptive quantize-and-forward (AQF) which changes the shape of the grid by a single threshold and controls the threshold so as to maximize signal detection performance from the viewpoint of mutual information. Furthermore, we show the selection rule of encoding / modulation type on the premise of AQF and clarify the effectiveness by computer simulations.
