Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Whether it is an ISP, a telecommunications carrier, or a broadcaster, there are many business operators who adopt Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the platform of media services.

Media service consists of content creation, acquisition of contents, Digital Asset Management (DAM), Media Asset Management (MAM), archiving, distribution, etc. Each business operator evaluates AWS's services in various aspects, such as scalability, reliability, economy, etc., for the required workload. And they incorporate AWS services into their media service system.

AWS usage in distribution workloads by OTT operators can be observed from end users. Then, it is well known AWS usage in media services. However, it is only a part of the media service workload. On the other hand, OTT player's workloads are the most emphasis on scalability and service availability. In addition, they have been using AWS on the large scale since the very early. Then, they have the various know-how of using AWS.

In this presentation, I introduce a typical example of how to use AWS by media workload, especially how to use AWS by OTT operators.
