Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Capturing human body motion with a multi-view camera system, the measurable range is a common field of view from each camera. Panning and zooming of the camera are effective for enlarging the common field of view. The main issue is camera calibration. We pan the camera in advance to take a picture of the background and build a background panorama image. In motion capturing, the camera is panned and zoomed so that the human body always could be captured in the center of the image. Then, the background image around the body is matched with the panorama image and the pan rotation angle and the zoom ratio are obtained from the matched position. Using the obtained camera parameters, the body motion can be captured from the multi-view images.
