Multiple Packet-Chunking for Effective Transmitting of Enormous Number of Packets

(in English) We expect that data of the extremely small will increase because of the spread of smartphones and sensor devices. By flowing a enormous number of extremely small packets into the network, performance degradation
due to restrictions on processing power of packets may occur in the routers in networks in relay routers of core network. One such countermeasure is packet chunking which aggregates multiple packets and reduces the number
of packets flowing into the core network at edge routers at the entrance of core network. But, when the target is a large-scale tree network, traffic from multiple edge routers concentrates on the relay router and a number of
packets exceeding packet processing capacity may flow in even if there is little inflow traffic at the edge router. In this way, it is difficult to sufficiently reduce the number of packets flowing into the relay router in the core network with only packet chunking at the edge router. In this paper, we proposed a new packet chunking method which is packet chunking at not only edge routers but also relay routers near the edge and adjusts wait time of packet chunking from inflow traffic of each router for application quality requirement, and realize reduction of the number of distribution packets in the core network.
