Weighted Potential for Multipopulation Access Point Selection Games
Yuki Kodera, Takafumi Kanazawa (Osaka Univ.) MSS2017-52 SS2017-39
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Wireless access networks are characterized by interactions among users and/or communication carriers. An access point selection is a problem that each user selects one access point to maximize his/her own payoff. Selections of users affect communication loads of access points, and changes of communication loads of access points affect selections of others. The game theory is used to model such users' interactions. Multipopulation access point selection games with common values of users have been proposed. It is shown that the multipopulation access point selection game is a potential game and derived a condition that Nash equilibrium of the game is unique. However, in recent years, the service demands of users have diversified, and users' values for communication loads are different depending on the service requested. This paper proposes weighted potential games, and show that multipopulation access point selection games with different values of users are weighted potential games. We also discuss the uniqueness of Nash equilibrium and derive conditions that solutions of evolutionary dynamics converge to Nash equilibrium.
