[Encouragement Talk] The relationships of dependence among the stimulated position and the area perceived phosphene
Manami Kanamaru, Eiji Kamioka (SIT) MoNA2017-46
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this study, the realizability of the walking support system for blind people using phosphene has been investigated. Concretely, the obstacles in three direction is detected by three ultrasonic sensors, and the user perceive phosphene which is presented on the obstacles information. Phosphene is a phenomenon that is perceived by stimulating to retinae from visual pathway. It is considered that the position of phosphene is depending on the stimulated position but the mechanism remain uninterpreted. In this paper, the indication of phosphene using multi electrodes placements of stimulation device will be proposed, and the availability will be discussed.
