Consideration for Information-Shared System based on XMPP with no Internet Connection
Hui Yu, Masato Oguchi (Ocha Univ) MoNA2017-35
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, Internet is becoming more and more significant in promoting the development of economy and society. It has also become a significant part of individual’s daily life. However, communication infrastructure may probably be damaged because of natural disasters like earthquake. It is also possible that the large, communicable Internet be damaged and divided to small area networks. On the other hand, the massive information dissemination during the time of disasters, such as resource distribution and road information, are crucial. Therefore, the corresponding methods against those damages are necessary. This presentation has discussed the possibility of using a router with server functions to build an information sharing platform based on XMPP during critical times without accessing the Internet.
