Design Theory of LC-Ladder Matching with Minimum Stored Energy

(in English) A design theory of an LC ladder which transforms a positive real impedance to another with minimum stored energy is proposed. Two novel mathematical techniques are developed for the design: a geometric representation of stored energy; and a coordinate system as an alternative of such a representation of linear circuit's behavior that impedance or admittance. Utilizing them, an LC ladder is considered as an orthogonal path on a two-dimensional plane and stored-energy minimization is replaced into path-length minimization. Then the minimization problem is solved in completely analytical fashion.
