Heterotrophic bacterial inhabiting in the water environment are detected from corrosion parts of metal parts of the bedside console in the dialysate line in hemodialysis therapy. There is also a view that this will cause endotoxin contamination of the dialysate. However, heterotrophic bacterial were not studied in the dialysate environment. In this report, heterotrophic bacterial were cultured in reverse osmosis water and dialysate, and the effect of metal corrosion was examined. As a result, proliferation was suppressed in the dialysate as compared with reverse osmosis water. However, biofilm formation tends to be promoted in the dialysate environment, and this tendency was confirmed possibility to be promoted by metal corrosion. |
