Conventional instantaneous throughput indicates the amount of communications traffic by the number of packets transmitted during unit time, but the definition of it is simple. During competitive communication, packet transmission is biased due to transmission control of CSMA / CA or TCP ACK at TCP communication, so depending on how unit time is defined, throughput evaluation may be affected. The authors proposed the accurate instantaneous throughput derivation method based on packet control time in IEEE 802.11g mode single communication. In this paper, we extend it to evaluate competitive communication and compared the proposed method and the conventional method on instantaneous throughput at UDP, TCP two devices competing communication. |
