A quadrature voltage controlled oscillator (QVCO) using only one inductor for coupling is proposed for down-converting frequency with image rejection in receivers. Compared to previous coupled QVCO, this work shows simple architecture and high coupling coefficient with comparable performance. The simulated phase noise at 1MHz offset is -122.23dBc/Hz at 6.96GHz while drawing 11.45mW from a 1.8V power supply. It achieves an FOM of 188.51dBc/Hz. |
