[Encouragement Talk] A Slice Subnet Selection Method for On-Demand End-to-End Slice Generation

(in English) Versatile services are expected to be realized in 5G era. It is discussed to provide on-demand End-to-End (E2E) Slices which can fulfill service requirements. An E2E slice consists of several slice subnets and we can expect a multiplexing gain by accommodating multiple similar-looking services into the same slice subnet, leading efficient resource utilization. In order to realize an on-demand E2E slices provision, it is essential to judge quickly whether to accommodate a new service into existing slice subnets. However, a slice subnets selection algorithm which fulfills new service requirements and maximize resource utilization efficiency is highly complex. In this paper, we propose a slice subnets selection method that reduces the computation complexity by improving search technique over service requirements. Simulation results show that the reduction in computational complexity can indeed be expected in an actual environment.
