600-GHz Coherent Terahertz Wave Combiner

(in English) For future high-speed wireless communication, the terahertz-wave transmission is attracting an attention. However, compared with the conventional radio waves, the terahertz wave has a disadvantage that it is difficult to get high output. For overcoming the limit, we had studied spatial combining of the terahertz waves at 300 GHz. This time, to verify the feasibility of the technology at higher frequency, we investigated the spatial combining at 600 GHz. From the experimental results, we confirmed the power enhancement and directional gain of the terahertz wave.
