Experimental Introduction of Remote Support System to Eevaluate Current Visual Ability and Practice Operating Visual Aassistive Devices

(in English) It is important for people with visual disabilities to be aware of the degree of he/her visual ability and to utilize assistive device appropriately. To achieve these points will lead not only to improvement and expansion of the effectiveness of their business at the office, but also to reduce burden for eyes. However, because there are few therapists who can train and appropriate training is not carried out, there is a problem that an effective evaluation of the visual ability and the appropriate support apparatus utilization training are not performed excessively in the scene of the working training. Therefore we build the tele-support system which applied teleconference application to using a mobile router and a smartphone. Therapist can support remotely an evaluation of the visual ability of the low-vision person existing at a far place, make a choice and utilization training of suitable visual assistive device.
