Removal of Temporally Coherent Radio Frequency Interference in Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar
Ryo Natsuaki, Akira Hirose (Univ. of Tokyo) SANE2017-72
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Nowadays, Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) is widely used for measuring ground deformation. SAR shares its radio frequency with the other systems and receives their signals. Especially from the other radar systems, SAR receives frequency modulated signals repeatedly resulting in its non-negligible appearance in a focused SAR image. It is difficult to remove such kind of radio frequency interference (RFI) with traditional spectrum based filters because of its wide bandwidth. Furthermore, such RFIs have high temporal coherency and interrupt InSAR analysis. In this research, we propose an autocorrelation based RFI removal method to separate backscattered signals from RFI signals.
