Magnetic Near-Field Noise Measurement and Improvement of Power Efficiency of LED Bulb without Switching Circuit

(in English) A low-noise LED bulb is required for an anechoic chamber and a measurement room of biomedical signals. Magnetic near-field noise was measured in the case changing the arrangement of six LED bulbs without switching circuit. As a result, the near-field strength in any cases was smaller than that in the cases of LED bulbs with switching circuit. The LED bulbs under test had been designed for low noise and low heat generation, so that the current to LED elements is small and the illuminance is small. A circuit was proposed, in which capacitance of the current limiting capacitor was increased for the increase of the current to LED elements and a inductor was inserted in series to improve the power factor. In results, the increase of the near-field strength was small, and the illuminance and the efficiency were improved.
