A Study on the Effectiveness of Link Addition Strategies using Degree Centrality of Layer Node and Inter Degree-degree Difference for Improving Robustness of Multiplex Networks

(in English) Recent research trends in network science are shifting from the analysis of single-layer networks to the analysis of multilayer networks.
In particular, the robustness of multilayer networks has been actively studied.
We aim to construct a methodology for effectively improving the robustness of multiplex networks against layer node-based attack.
In previous work, we have investigated the effectiveness of link addition strategies using Inter Degree-degree Difference (IDD) for improving the robustness of multiplex networks.
In this paper, we examine the effectiveness of improving the robustness of multiplex networks by link addition strategies, which are based on the degree of layer nodes and based on both of the degree of layer nodes and IDD.
Through the network attack simulations, we show that link addition strategies using both of the degree of layer nodes and IDD can more effectively improve the robustness of multiplex networks than link addition strategies using only IDD.
