[Encouragement Talk] Performance Evaluations of Feedback Control Framework using IoMT Edge Computing

(in English) To provide an energy-efficient and a network-friendly field sensing, we propose an edge-centric feedback control framework for Internet of Media Thighs edge computing. The proposed framework controls sensing frequency of sensors, capturing rate and encoding rate of surveillance cameras, according to the monitoring conditions. Because we apply a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) platform, the framework can provide the fast feedback control to the sensor and camera nodes. In performance evaluations, we create a miniature “artificial landslide generation” environment in our laboratory to detect landslide. Evaluation results conclude that the proposed framework can reduce the network traffic and save energy consumption efficiently.
