It is important to evaluate processes in order to ensure quality of products in software development. But conventional approaches waste much time because they are done by hearing from developers based on checklists or inspecting products by inspectors. Those approaches depend on inspector’s skills much. On the other hand, semi-automated approach which applies machine learning to log obtained from CASE tool is proposed. And process mining which predicts process from event log obtained by information system has been studied much. This paper compares performance of machine learning and process mining in evaluation of software development processes, and considers their practicality. |
