Device Discovery Method By Using Bloom Filter For Device Dynamics in IoT Services

(in English) Recently, many IoT services are deployed in actual fields such as mobile phones, buildings, and cars.
In order to maintain the IoT services, the devices that encounter the problem have to be discovered, and the causes should be analyzed based on the sensing data on the device.
However, since huge number of devices move frequently in the assumed IoT environment, centralized management of devices is difficult.
Moreover, IoT devices have limited hardware resources, so that a processing time and communication costs must be lowered.
Therefore, a device discovery method using Bloom Filter as a routing table of sensing data is proposed in this paper.
Each device calculates the filter based on the sensing data, and the filters are summarized on the host node, so that the local movements of the devices affect only on the limited filters.
The simulation based on the assumed environment was performed, and the results show that the proposed method is scalable and feasible for the dynamics.
