[Invited Lecture] On Improving Efficiency in Wireless Systems Based on the Coordination of Elemental Technologies

(in English) Recent wireless systems are developed as a complicated blend of various elemental technologies and therefore, it is important to efficiently coordinate these technologies by using common measure such as channel capacity or by finding common signal processing among different technologies. Moreover, it is meaningful to try to utilize information of application layer as the input of each elemental technology with the aim of simplifying overall system, in addition to information of physical layer. In this lecture, some examples of our research based on an awareness of above issues are introduced such as the efficient combination of multiuser MIMO and user scheduling and the simple CoMP employing position information for probe car system.
